It indicates money, fortune and commerce. The pentacle was an ancient disc with magical symbols inscribed on it often used as money. The classic symbol used on Tarot decks was the pentagram: the five pointed star which represents the five extremities of the human body or the five senses among others. Contrary to current belief, it does not represent the devil. The cup's representation in the four elements is earth.
